Force shutdown in Windows 7

We can force Windows 7 to shut down without waiting for programs to end? We know that we could do this in XP using the Registry Editor but can we do the same in win7?
The same Registry settings are used for shutdown with Windows 7 as with XP so they can be modified in the same way. Click Start and enter ‘regedit’ (without the quotes). Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control in the left panel and double-click WaitToKillService Timeout on the right.

Change the value to 10000 (10 seconds) or lower for a faster shutdown. You can also go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\ Desktop and click Edit, New String Value. Name it WaitToKillAppTimeout, double-click it and set the value to 10000 (10 seconds).
Don’t use very small values as it’s best to give programs time to shut down on their own.
